Franklin Gun Shop was founded in August 2000 by Brian Hassler and his father Jerry, a Vietnam Veteran who served in the 173d Airborne Brigade. Growing up in Franklin, Brian always had a passion for firearms, shooting, and hunting. After graduating from college and several years working in a gun store in North Carolina, Brian decided to start his own business in his native Tennessee. His brother Mike, who had assisted at the store on the weekends while attending college, joined the business full-time after about a year. After Franklin Gun Shop had been in business for over 10 years, Brian's and Mike's other brother Alan was finally able to join full-time as well. What started with only 89 guns in a location in a tiny strip mall, has grown into a thriving business in our own free-standing building with the largest selection of firearms in Tennessee with over 6,000 guns in stock. Franklin Gun Shop is also a Class III dealer (selling legal-to-own full-auto, silencers, and short-barreled weapons), offers a wide variety of gunsmithing services, and refers handgun training and permit classes to our non-affiliated partner, Franklin Gun Training Academy. DIRECTIONS:
Take I-65 to Exit 65 (Hwy 96). Go west to the first red light and turn right on Royal Oaks Blvd. (between the BP gas station and McDonald's). Go to the next red light and turn right onto Lakeview Drive. Turn right at the Franklin Lanes Bowling Alley, and Franklin Gun Shop is in the free-standing building with a red roof directly behind the bowling alley. The building backs up to interstate 65.

It is our mission to bring to you our Premium Hard Cast Lead Bullets. Our bullets are cast on commercial equipment. We use the best lube available for the bullets we make. We also manufacture coated bullets. Our "Falcoat" line of bullets are manufactured using the J&M Specialty Product HI-TEK lube coating after application this coating fully encases the lead. We stock only foundry certified 2%-Tin,6%-Antimony, 92%-Lead alloy for casting our high-quality bullets. This alloy has a BHN of 16-17 for optimal bullet performance. Our skilled and trained staff works very hard to make the highest quality product that can be produced. Our heart and pride goes into each and every bullet we make.
